Indoor Stained concrete – Workshop showroom - Larkspur, CO In an attempt to have a good showroom we are slowly finishing our workshop floors. We want to have as many samples as we can so our customers can get a good idea of all the different techniques we offer and the multiple color options. We hope to be able to create a very artistic space. This design was used previously on an outside concrete courtyard. We changed the colors and added a two tone background for some drama and color showing. We also incorporated a border on each side utilizing opposite colors. The exposed concrete wall will be next… Residential Interior Concrete Overlay over wood sub floor – Denver CO We had a brand new space that needed some character and life. The design was an inspiration from a colorful rug we found on the web. The rug design was rectangular and our floor was squared. Instead of stretching the image we just added a few additional geometric designs. The designs were engraved and then stained to give it the crisp edges. We achieved the vibrant look with the use of Smith dyes. This product has been a fabulous addition to our color range. Their translucent characteristic allows us to achieve the modeled effect with a much more controlled application. We used Honey, Fawn Mars Red and Black. We also applied an overlay on the concrete base walls and used the fawn color in this application to match the floor. We finished the floor with a high gloss sealer to give it a more contemporary feel. Interior Stained Concrete, CO The Customer was looking for a clean and natural look. We created large 28 inch tiles throughout. The living room was at a slightly higher level than the rest of the space creating a step from the two adjacent rooms. We used the step to insert a border design to highlight the step and add differentiation between spaces. In the dining room area a rug effect was created by using a similar border design as in the living room. We left the center area without design to give it a cleaner look. The colors used were sandstone, amber for the border and dark chocolate for the corner pieces. The dark chocolate matched the exposed beams and the dark wood being used throughout the home Tresana Pool and Pavilion – Highlands Ranch, CO This project was a pool and pavilion area in an elite community in Highlands Ranch. The area was over 6,000 sq feet so the makeover needed to be simple but elegant. The architecture of the community has a Tuscan feel with the use of natural materials such as stone and iron. The concrete was not elaborate enough for the area. In order to bring it up to par we created a warm feel with the use of acid staining and engraving. Flagstones were engraved throughout the pool and spa area. In the pavilion we used the architectural details of the columns to create a large grid pattern in two tones. The colors were pulled from the stonework walls and columns.
