Interior - Concrete Overlay
Residential Interior Concrete Overlay over wood sub floor – Denver CO - The Customer was looking for a clean and natural look. We created large 28 inch tiles throughout. The living room was at a slightly higher level than the rest of the space creating a step from the two adjacent rooms. We used the step to insert a border design to highlight the step and add differentiation between spaces. In the dining room area a rug effect was created by using a similar border design as in the living room. We left the center area without design to give it a cleaner look. The colors used were sandstone, amber for the border and dark chocolate for the corner pieces. The dark chocolate matched the exposed beams and the dark wood being used throughout the home.

Residential Interior – Resurfacing – Wazee Street Lodo Denver CO - We were contacted by a restoration company to take care of the floors for this loft downtown. Staining was not possible due to poor concrete condition. Not just stains but many surface imperfections. We troweled on the overlay and stained it with several chemical stains to obtain a dark rich color. The final floors look like leather – A warm brown tone. The faux painter and trim carpenter will complete the project allowing the owner back home to an even nicer loft. We got a call from the restoration company telling us the owner loved his new floor!

Residential Interior – Resurfacing – Pueblo West - This was another client affected by too much rain. Unwilling to replace wood floors they contacted us after they repaired the draining situation around the foundation. The challenge with this job was to work with the client based out of state. We established the design, an ashlar pattern, with random sized rectangles. The color was harder since what is tan to one is different to another. We settled on a light neutral color. The final color approval was done with digital photographs sent via internet. I must say the photographs do not do justice to these floors. I hope to be able to update the photos once the trim and painting is completed.

Interior Residential – Resurfacing – Pueblo West, CO - Our customer had over 850 square feet of basement which had gotten wet due to intense rains and poor outdoor drainage. After fixing the drainage problem outdoors, he contacted us to get a water resistant flooring application just in case... He requested a plain floor in a warm color to compliment his existing southwestern décor. He also needed an easy to clean, cat friendly floor. We used a rich terracotta tone with no designs to create a clear canvas for rugs and throws. |

Interior residential – Denver CO - Our customer needed to update their basement so they could have an attractive entry to their hot tub. Surface preparation was extensive as you are able to see from the before photos, but after a few days of work we were able to give them a room that was attractive and could handle the foot traffic. Our customers picked a terracotta color with no design that blended beautifully with their décor. Finished photos are still on the way, but even at this point, the look is incredible. |

Interior Residential – Colorado Springs. CO - This is the walkout level of a fairly new home. The owners were looking for a room that would be dog friendly and where they could entertain without having to worry about the floors. They provided us a rock from their yard to represent the color they were looking for and we were able to match it almost perfectly. I should have taken a photo of the rock on the floor. By covering the expansion joints we were able to create a flagstone look through the main entertainment area, two bedrooms and 3 closets. This floor will now provide them with the easy care and maintenance they were looking for, with the natural look they wanted!

Interior Residential – resurfacing – Larkspur, CO - This customer called when the construction of his home was almost completed. The home had efficient radiant heat covered with colored concrete to give it a very natural look. The orginal plan was to have the concrete be the finished floor, but a problem came to light when customer noticed several cracks appearing on the floors. In addition, as he started cleaning, he noticed areas where fibers had floated to the surface creating a fuzzy finish. In order to cover these fibers and cracks we applied a stone-look overlay throughout main level of the home. To maintain the natural and organic look of the home we pulled most of the colors from the beautiful stone fireplace and used a technique to reduce the texture in order to give them a floor that was easy to maintain. The results are below for you to see. He calls on a regular basis to let us know how much they love their floors. |

Interior – Residential – Bathroom resurfacing over tile - Larkspur, CO - This bathroom was nice. Everything was of good quality and in good condition - Just a little dated. The walls were white and the tile was pink... We decided on a pattern that would give it a tumbled stone look with 11 ½ inch tiles and 3 inch mosaic tiles. We set the pattern in a diagonal. The large tiles where surrounded by the smaller 3 inch tiles. On the step we put a row of the 3 inch tiles to blend the multiple surfaces. For the top of the tub we left it plain to resemble a large piece of stone. For the backsplash we created a stencil that would soften all the straight lines. The result was beautiful! The bathroom resurfacing in conjunction with a little paint on the walls converted this bathroom into a spa. |

Residential Garage Floor – Black Forest, CO - This garage had seen better days. The epoxy paint originally applied to the floor was peeling and was stained. We had to grind the surface to remove all the epoxy and to get the concrete profiled correctly for it to accept the overlay. The owners where not expecting such a decorative finish look but were very pleased with the results. |

Interior, Parker, CO - We have recently completed the resurfacing of a basement floor in Parker CO. With the concrete not being completely level tile or wood was not an option, our customer selected a stone look overlay with tile cuts. The hallway leading to the lower level was not perfectly straight so we created a design that would fool the eye. By matching the color of the carpet coming from the steps, the room became so inviting the owners might decide to make it a family TV room, as opposed to the originally planned workout/toy area. |

Residential Interior - Larkspur, Co. - This project was originally scheduled to be a stained floor, but as the existing carpet and wood flooring was removed we found layers of vinyl flooring forcing us to plan "B". Ultimately it was the best choice. The floor had numerous holes left from carpet tack strips, cracks in the concrete and adhesive stains. With the use of an overlay system, we were able to give our customers a floor that blended with their décor. We used colors pulled from their Mexican suns collection displayed in the great room. The floor ended up complimenting their light wood furniture very nicely.

Commercial-Interior - We used a light terracotta microtopping with some tile cut work for the front entry of Merle Norman Cosmetics. SkimStone was used in this application to produce the desired marbleized effect. Our final touch was to add a design in both the front and the back entry . |
